Do you supply gloves?

Yes. We can provide boxing gloves to get you started. We would recommend purchasing your own after you've started for hygiene reasons and preference on size/weight.

Do you provide hand wraps?

We don't unless it's personal training. We would recommend wearing hand wraps to protect your hands.

What hand wraps should I get?

Adidas and RDX do good wraps. You don't want your wraps to be too thick. You're best to get 4.5m wraps as anything shorter won't provide enough coverage and protection, unless you have very small hands (Small child), therefore 2.5m should suffice. If in doubt speak to one of our coaches.

First time training. What should I wear?

Usual Gym attire/PE kit for kids. Shorts/Tracksuit bottoms, Tshirt, Trainers/Boxing Boots (No Sliders, Crocs etc)

Do you offer Pay As You Go (PAYG) sessions?

Yes. Log into your account and select "Access Online Shop". Here you'll see single sessions which can be purchased using your card.

Can I pay Cash for Classes and Open Gym?

Yes, however you must be registered, which includes completion of "PARQ" and "Emergency contact name and number", and spaces are subject to availability. The only way to guarantee your space is by booking online.

Can I pay Cash for a membership?

All membership payments are taking initially with a pro rata payment (How many days are left of the month) by card, and then the 1st of every month taken by Direct Debit. Annual memberships are one single payment by card.

My child is under 9 years of age. Can they still attend?

We generally take kids from 9 years. They cannot spar until they're 10 years old. If your child is 8 and able to listen, follow instructions, and train without parents/guardians present, then we could see how they get on. Anyone 8 and under would be too young.

Can I stay to watch my child boxing in a class?

Unfortunately not. We don't have space in the gym for spectators, and we find children perform and listen better when their parents aren't present. This also helps them with independence  and social skills. Don't worry they're in good hands. We also have to consider Safeguarding.

What time should I arrive?

Arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before the start time of your session.

I've never been to your gym before can I spar?

The first time you attend the gym regardless of previous experience we wouldn't allow you to spar. We like to get to know you first to asses your ability, ambition etc.

How long will it take until you allow me to spar?

This all depends on your ability, how regularly you're training/attending, if you have the right equipment. The coaches will let you know when they think you're ready. Best to get the basics down first. You don't have to rush. Safety must come first.

What equipment do I need for sparring?

Headguard, 16oz or 14oz gloves depending on weight, Gumshield. No exceptions.

I don't want to spar can I still train?

Absolutely. You don't have to spar and we would never make somebody spar if they didn't want to. You can still enjoy and get the benefits of boxing training without contact.

Are you a amateur boxing club?

Yes. We have an amateur boxing club within the gym. Apollo ABC of Peterborough

How do I become a amateur boxer?

Being a amateur is the pinnacle of competitive boxing. It takes a lot of sacrifice, time, and skill. Our coaches will let you know if they feel you would be suitable. This is based on ability, attendance, work ethic, and listening skills. It's not something that will happen overnight.

Do you do white collar boxing?

We cover all aspects of boxing in the gym. We hold 1-2 White Collar shows per year. Please speak to the coaches if you'd like to compete.

Is Open Gym a class?

No, Open Gym is when we open the gym up for you to do your own training.

Where can I find the Open Gym times?

For the latest times log into your account and select "Make a booking". Here you'll see the days, times, and availability.
